This is the Monarchy’s flagship song. As we were putting together the record, we wanted a triumphant sounding bombastic intro that explained our mission as a band and the meaning behind our name.  Our story is that after a lifetime of musical experiences of all kinds, we wanted to simply write good songs, play great shows and make all decisions without interference.  No more caving to other’s demands or egos – just a songwriting team and powerhouse live duo.  Bow Before Us is obviously a tongue in cheek way of saying “We are here – now pay attention!”  But the song goes a little deeper and dives into the idea that in each of our lives we are kings and queens of our kingdoms – that of our minds and hearts.  We must never relinquish control to others over our emotions or our fate. Simple self control and determination will not only drive you forward in life, but let you live like a king or queen emotionally and spiritually.  So we hope you get a boost from the lyrics.  We aren’t really asking you to genuflect before us, but rather turn to the world and demand they do so.  The Monarchy’s mantra as a songwriting team– “If it is to be it is up to we” is our guiding principle.
