Finding Cassie

A waitress and a painter – both lonely in their circumstances through no fault of their own trudge through their daily lives in the hopes of finding someone to love and love them back…. This is not exactly a new story… it may be the oldest subject ever to be sung about.  But each time we hear a song about unrequited love it activates that part of us that just wants to be loved in return without conditions, restrictions, and massive logistics.  The focus in this song is that both characters still put on a brave face and go about their lives.  The abrupt ending in the song is the suddenness of them finally finding one another.  Put on a brave face. Love finds you no matter what the circumstances.

Song Lyrics:

A waitress

left home

it was the first time  that she'd been alone,

warm gaze

she walks by

smiling at strangers while inside she'd sigh

*And she's searching

For that feelin

no one knows what she's concealing

She'll keep searchin

'cause she's needing

him to find her she's believing

A Painter

looked down

he painted everybody's house in his town

he'd laugh

with raised glass

he'd throw a smile but it just wouldn't  last

*And he's searching

For that feelin

no one knows what he's concealing

he'll keep searchin

cause he's needing

her to find him he's believing

Bridge:

He Laughs …

never tells what's inside

She Cries…

Laughs & holds her head high

Long Days …

pretending as she's waiting

Long Nights…

Searching  as his soul’s aching…

*And they're searching for that feelin

one who knows a heart needs healing

they'll keep searching

cause they're needing

love to find them while believing!
